From ‘Growing Roots’, we look forward to seeing you attend our immersive weekend where we will guide and support your practice to bloom ‘In Leaf’.
This 2-day immersive weekend will support you to grow and build your confidence from our online ‘Growing Roots’ practitioner course.
Course Structure
On Day One, we will be your guides. This is your chance to experience the EcoSensory Model of Practice in person and to immerse yourself in the model and its elements. Our EcoSensory Therapy Trainers will take you through Ground - Connect - Rhythm - Discover - Attend - Create - Nourish & Reflect, giving you first hand experience of how to translate the theory into practice.
We will also provide you with a Practitioner’s Guide and Workbook, which will include the Clinical Formulation Templates; Assessment Tools (Pizza Slices) and Spider’s Webs; Session Planning Worksheets; Session Review Worksheets; Guidance on Kit; Risk Assessment Proformas and much more…
On Day Two, you will begin to take the lead. Day Two is centred upon YOUR practice. Working in small groups with the EcoSensory Therapy Trainers we will support you to use the EcoSensory Model to assess and plan a session with a case study that’s meaningful to you. We will conduct mini EcoSensory sessions with you taking the lead and getting a chance to practice elements and activities that you have assessed will be helpful for the person/group you have brought as a case study. This is your chance to try things out, learn by doing and learn from mistakes too. Please bring along any and all pieces of kit you want to try out and gain confidence with! We are firm believers in the value of shared minds and you will be able to draw from and add to your peers knowledge and expertise in this small group format.
We will end the weekend ensuring that you have clear direction and next steps to take your EcoSensory practice to its next level.
Timings
Meet at car park each morning - 0900-0915
Depart car park together to head into the woods - 0930
Return to the car park on Saturday - 1630-1645
Return to the car park on Sunday - 1500
Accommodation
‘In Leaf’ is not a residential course. If you are traveling from further afield and need a place to stay, we can send you some further information on local places to stay (either within bricks and mortar or under canopy and stars) upon booking.
Food
During the weekend, it is our job to ‘nourish’ you. Along with the nourishment you’ll get from good company and the natural world, we will also supply delicious and plentiful food throughout the weekend. We ask that you complete the Essential Information forms after booking, so that we are aware of any dietary requirements and allergies.
